Box Score Data Collection & Analysis – Pro Insight Pop-Up Run

Background / Problem

Pro Insight hosted a private Pop-Up Run featuring elite high school and college prospects in a closed gym setting. With no official box scores recorded live, there was a need to manually collect, clean, and analyze full player statistics across multiple games to evaluate performance and generate media-ready outputs.

Objective

Collect and organize player box score data for all 6 games across both teams, clean and structure the data, and identify top statistical performers for internal evaluation and public distribution.

My Role

  • Manually tracked and recorded full box score data using Sportscode film of all 6 games (2 FGA, 2FGM, 3FGA, 3FGM, Off/def rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, personal fouls, and total minutes played).

  • Standardized and cleaned raw player data for consistency (name formatting, missing values, stat alignment).

  • Used Excel to organize and compile individual and team stats into a usable database.

  • Performed stat analysis to identify top performers across key categories (e.g. scoring leaders, rebound leaders).

  • Delivered final output to the Pro Insight team for use in internal reports, media posts, and scouting evaluations.

  • Skills:
