Kyle Abilar | Basketball Data Analyst & Video Coordinator
Hi, I'm Kyle Abilar, a passionate sports data analyst and video coordinator with a strong background in basketball operations, scouting, and analytics. I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Statistics, where I developed a deep appreciation for how data and film can transform decision making in sports.
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work across several areas of basketball from supporting USA Basketball camps, to serving as the Head Video Coordinator for Cal Women's Basketball, to working as a data analyst for Pro Insight, and accurately tracking play-by-play stats for the Santa Cruz Warriors G League team. In these roles, I’ve developed expertise in video management (using tools like Sportscode, Hudl, Synergy, DV Sport, and NGSS), statistical analysis (leveraging Excel, R, and Python), and data pipeline creation for large scouting databases.
I thrive at the intersection of film, analytics, and player evaluation helping teams optimize performance, identify talent, and gain a competitive edge. Whether it’s capturing and editing film for detailed scouting breakdowns, building automated tools to clean massive amounts of player data, or traveling to live events to evaluate top prospects, I bring a meticulous and team first approach to everything I do.
I'm excited to continue growing in basketball operations, video coordination, and sports analytics, and I’m passionate about supporting organizations that are committed to excellence both on and off the court.
